(1) determine the type according to the transport of liquid's properties and operation conditions ;

(2) according to the flow (usually set by the production of mission) and calculation pipeline pressure head required, determine the pump model (choose from the sample or catalog);

(3) if the transport of liquid's viscosity and density are significantly different from water, shall account for the characteristics of pump parameters: flow, pressure,  head and shaft power.
